Regarding the Person Who Says to Another: O Adopted One—What Punishment Is Applied?
Hadith 30908
٣٠٩٠٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن إسماعيل عن الشعبي قال: لو أن رجلًا قال لرجل: ادعاك عشرة، لم يكن عليه حد.
Ismail narrates that Hazrat Sha'bi said: If a person says to another person, "Ten people have accused you," then the prescribed punishment (hadd) will not be carried out on him.
Hadith 30909
٣٠٩٠٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن (رقبة) (١) عن حماد في الرجل يقول للرجل: أنت دعي، ليس عليه حد.
Hazrat Ruqbah narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Hammad regarding the person who says to another man: "O adopted one," that the prescribed punishment (hadd) will not be carried out upon him.
Hadith 30910
٣٠٩١٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو عصام عن الأوزاعي عن الزهري في الرجل يقول للرجل من العرب: إنك لمولى، قال: يضرب الحد.
Hazrat Awza'i states that it is narrated from Hazrat Zuhri regarding the person who says to an Arab man: "Indeed, you are a slave," he (Zuhri) said: The prescribed punishment (hadd) will be imposed on him.
