Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abi Dhi'b says that Hazrat Zuhri stated: Whoever attributes someone to other than his (real) mother, the punishment of qadhf will not be carried out upon him.

Hazrat Saeed bin Abi Aroobah narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Qatadah regarding a man who said to another man: "Such-and-such woman is not your mother." He (Qatadah) said: Surely, no punishment will be prescribed for him because this is a lie.

This statement is also narrated from Hazrat Hammad with the same chain of transmission.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that Hazrat Amir said: The punishment of false accusation (qadhf) will not be carried out on this person.
