Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding those four men who bore witness of adultery against a woman, while one of them was her husband. He said: The husband will perform li'an, and the other three will be flogged.

The aforementioned instruction is also narrated from Hazrat Sa‘d bin Musayyib with this chain of transmission.

Hazrat Qatadah says that Hasan Basri stated: When all of them are gathered together, the husband will be more entitled to give testimony among them.

Hazrat Shaibani says that Hazrat Sha'bi said: The prescribed punishment (hadd) will be carried out on that woman.

Hazrat Hammad says that Ibrahim stated: The husband will perform li'an and all three of them will be flogged.
