Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ikrimah states that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The punishment for a mukatab will be the same as the punishment for a slave.

Hazrat Jarir narrates that Hazrat Mughira said: The punishment for a mukatab will be the same as that for a slave as long as any part of the price of his contract of manumission remains unpaid.

Hazrat Salih bin Hayy states that Hazrat Sha’bi said: The punishment for a mukatab will be the same as that for a slave as long as any part of the price of the contract of manumission remains due upon him.

Hazrat Salih bin Hayy narrates that Hazrat Sha'bi said: The mukatab will be given the punishment of a slave until he becomes free.

Hazrat Muammar states that Hazrat Zuhri said: Its punishment will be the same as the punishment for a slave.

Ibrahim reports that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding a mukatab slave who commits an offense liable to hadd punishment, that he will be punished in proportion to the amount he has paid.
