Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ayyub narrates that I wrote a letter to Hazrat Abu Qilabah and asked him about a woman who had been a slave. He wrote back to me: The one who accuses her will be given eighty lashes.

Hazrat Abu Ma'shar narrates that it is reported from Ibrahim regarding such an Umm Walad that when she was set free and then an accusation was made against her. He said: The one who makes an accusation against her will be flogged.

Hazrat Muammar says that Hazrat Zuhri used to say: When a woman becomes a slave once and then she is set free, the prescribed punishment (hadd) will be carried out on the one who accuses her (of immorality).

Hazrat Qatadah narrates that it is reported from Hasan Basri regarding a woman who once became a slave and then was accused (of adultery). He said: The one who accuses her will not be flogged.
