Regarding the Man Who Settled for Diyah and Then Killed the Killer
Hadith 29921
٢٩٩٢١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن مهدي عن القاسم بن الفضل عن هارون عن عكرمة في رجل قتل بعد (أخذه) (١) الدية، قال: يُقتل، أما سمعت اللَّه يقول: ﴿(فَلَهُ) (٢) عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ﴾ [المائدة: ٩٤].
Hazrat Haroon narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Ikrimah regarding a person who, after receiving his blood money, killed the murderer. He said: He will be killed. Have you not heard? Allah, the Lord of Honor, says: For him is a painful punishment?
Hadith 29922
٢٩٩٢٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن مهدي عن حماد بن سلمة عن يونس عن الحسن (قال) (١): (تؤخذ) (٢) منه الدية ولا يقتل.
Yunus narrates that Hasan Basri said: Blood money will be taken from him and he will not be killed.
Hadith 29923
٢٩٩٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو داود عن (وهيب) (١) عن يونس عن الحسن في رجل قتل له قتيل فعفى عنه، ثم راح فقتله، قال الحسن: لا يقتل.
Yunus narrates that it is reported from Hasan Basri about a man whose relative had been killed, so he forgave the killer. Then the killer came, and he killed him. Hasan Basri said: He will not be killed.
