Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Muammar narrates that Hazrat Zuhri used to say: If a woman is killed while she is pregnant, then blood money and a male or female slave will be obligatory, even if the woman has not given birth to the child.

Hazrat Saeed narrates that Hazrat Qatadah was asked about a woman who was killed while she was pregnant—would anything be obligatory regarding her child? The narrator said: He used to say that nothing would be obligatory in this case until she gives birth to the child.
