Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Imam Zuhri states that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ruled in the case of Qasamah that the oath would be obligatory upon the defendants.

Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Umar states that he heard his companions narrate that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz initiated the practice that the defendants would be required to take an oath, then he made them responsible for the payment of blood money.

Hazrat Fudayl bin Amr narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) gave the verdict of oath upon the defendants.

Hazrat Zuhri states that Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib held the opinion that the oath is obligatory upon the defendants.

Hazrat Zuhri states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the verdict of oath upon the defendants.
