Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal narrates that Hazrat Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah said: The compensation for the crime of a mudabbar slave will be upon his master.

Hazrat Mughira narrates that Ibrahim said: The compensation for the crime of a mudabbar slave will be obligatory upon his master.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abi Dhi'b that Hazrat Yasir Maktab said that a woman made her slave-girl a Mudabbirah. Then that slave-girl committed an offense deserving punishment, so Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz decided that the compensation for her crime would be upon her mistress, according to the value of that slave-girl.

Yunus narrates that Hasan Basri, regarding the crime committed by a runaway slave, said: He is a slave; if his master wishes, he may hand him over, and if he wishes, he may ransom him and set him free.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad, both of whom report that Ibrahim said: When a mudabbar slave kills someone or blinds someone’s eye, the master will be told to either hand over the slave to them or pay compensation on his behalf.

It is narrated from Hazrat Muhammad bin Salim that Hazrat Aamir Sha'bi said: The compensation for the offense committed by a mudabbar slave and an umm walad will be obligatory upon the agnatic relatives of their master.

Hazrat Shu’bah states that Hazrat Hammad said: It will be obligatory upon the master of the mudabbar slaves when they kill someone, and if they are killed, then their blood money will be the same as that of other slaves.

Hazrat Abu Ma'shar narrates that Ibrahim said: The compensation for the crime of a mudabbir slave will be obligatory upon his master.

Hazrat Waki’ says that I heard Hazrat Sufyan saying: The compensation for the crime of a mudabbar slave will be upon his master, who will pay the guarantee equal to the value of the slave. Whereas Hazrat Ibn Abi Layla has stated regarding the mudabbar slave: The full compensation will be obligatory upon the master.
