Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Saeed ibn al-Musayyib said that for causing the miscarriage of a slave woman's fetus (that is, the child who is still in the womb), the compensation is ten dinars.

Hazrat Hammad says that there is a ruling regarding the child present in the womb of the slave woman.

Hasan says that when a child cries at the time of birth, the account will be taken for the value of the day on which he cried.

Hazrat Hakam said that people used to consider the child of a slave woman as having the same ruling as the child of a free woman.

Ibrahim said that the value of the child in the womb of a slave woman is based on the price of the slave woman, and the value of the child of a free woman is based on her blood money, that is, one-tenth and half of one-tenth.

Hazrat Qatadah says that if a child is born alive, then its full value is applicable, and if it is born dead, then one-tenth of its mother's value is applicable.

It is narrated from Hasan that the child in the womb of a slave woman is valued at one-tenth of the price of its mother.

Hazrat Sufyan says that we say: if the fetus is a male slave (i.e., a boy is born), then one twentieth of his price must be given, and if it is a female slave (i.e., a girl is born), then one tenth of her price must be given.
