Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad state that there is no qisas among slaves.

Hazrat Hakam, Hazrat Hammad, and Ibrahim say that among slaves, there is no qisas (retaliation) for any crime except for murder.

Ibrahim and Hazrat Sha'bi state that there is neither retribution (qisas) among slaves nor is there retribution among children.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that it has reached me from Salim that when a slave intentionally kills or injures another slave, he will be subject to retribution (qisas) in return.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz said that in exchange for a slave, retribution will be taken from a slave. In every intentional act that reaches the value of the slave, and even in wounds less than that.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdul Aziz bin Umar that in the book of Umar bin Abdul Aziz, it is recorded as transmitted from Hazrat Umar bin Khattab that in every case of intentional killing where the value is reached, the slave will be taken in exchange for a slave, and also in cases where the value is not reached.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood said that indeed, for a slave in exchange for a slave, neither is retribution (qisas) taken intentionally for causing injury nor unintentionally, except in the case of deliberate murder (in which case retribution will be taken).

It is narrated from Hasan that he held the opinion of retribution (qisas) among slaves.

Hazrat Harith narrates that I saw Nofal bin Masahiq taking retribution (qisas) of slaves from slaves.
