Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim said that if a slave loses one ear or one eye, then half of his value will be paid, and if both ears or both eyes are lost, then the full value will be paid, and this amount will be given to the slave himself.

Hazrat Sha'bi said that if a slave's one eye is damaged or one hand or foot is cut off, then half of his value will be obligatory upon the one who caused it, and if both eyes are damaged or both hands or feet are cut off, then the full value will be obligatory upon him.

It is narrated from Hasan that when a slave loses one eye, half of his value will be given for it.

Hazrat Iyas bin Mu'awiyah said that if someone deliberately cuts off the hand of a slave or blinds his eye, then he will be liable to pay the value, which will be the value of the slave himself.

Hazrat Zuhri, regarding a freedman who has injured a slave, states that if he has damaged his eye, he must pay half of its value.
