Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that if a wound reaches inside the stomach or the brain, then one-third of the blood money (diyah) is due for it.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz said that for an internal wound of the skull or brain, one-third of the blood money (diyah) is prescribed.

Hasan said that in the case of a wound that reaches inside the stomach or the brain, one-third of the blood money will be divided into five parts.

Hasan said: For a wound that reaches inside the stomach or the brain, one-third of the blood money (diyah) is due.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zuhri that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the verdict of one-third of the blood money (diyah) for an internal wound in the abdomen or the brain.

Ibrahim said that for an internal wound of the belly or thigh, one-third of the blood money (diyah) is due.

It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib that people were practicing archery when a man shot an arrow that missed its target and struck another man in the abdomen, passing through to his back. Then he was treated and recovered. This matter reached Abu Bakr, and he decided that compensation equal to the extent of his two internal wounds should be given.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid that for an internal wound of the stomach or brain, one-third of the blood money (diyah) is prescribed, and for another (type of wound), it is one hundred dinars.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mak'hool that for an internal wound of the abdomen which passes through to the other side, the compensation (diyat) will be equal to that of two abdominal wounds.

It is narrated from Hasan that if a man shoots an arrow at another and it passes through to the other side, then the compensation (diyah) will be equal to that for two wounds of the abdomen.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umar that for an internal wound of the stomach or brain, one-third of the blood money (diyat) is prescribed.
