Hadith 28707
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj said that Ata told me that for the two front upper and lower teeth, and the four teeth next to them, both upper and lower, and the canine teeth, there are five camels each, and for the remaining teeth, there are two camels each. In this, the upper part of the mouth and the lower part are both equal: the four front upper and lower teeth, the next four teeth, and the canine teeth, and likewise, all the upper and lower molars of the mouth are equal in diyah (blood money).
Hadith 28708
A similar statement is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid as from Ata, that the upper teeth of the mouth and the lower teeth, likewise the upper molars of the mouth and the lower molars, all are equal.
Hadith 28709
Hazrat Tawus says that my father said that some will be given superiority over others in terms of opinion and counsel.
Hadith 28710
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj said that Amr bin Muslim informed me that he heard Tawus saying that the six teeth above and below will have superiority over the molars, and he said that young camels will be given among the molars.
Hadith 28712
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib that Umar bin Khattab gave a ruling of one out of five camels for the front teeth, and the price of each camel is ten dinars, so this totals fifty dinars. And for the molars, he gave a ruling of one camel. Yahya says that the front teeth are the four upper and lower front teeth, and with them the four upper and lower teeth next to them, and then the canine teeth. Hazrat Saeed says that this practice continued until the molars of Hazrat Muawiyah were injured, so he said, "I know more about the molars than Umar," and he gave a ruling of five camels for them. Hazrat Saeed states that according to the ruling of Hazrat Umar, if all the teeth are broken, the amount is less, and according to the ruling of Hazrat Muawiyah, the compensation is more. And if it were up to me, I would have fixed two camels as compensation for the molars.
