Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Abdullah said that the blood money for unintentional murder resembling intentional murder will be divided into four parts: twenty-five camels in their fourth year, twenty-five in their fifth year, and twenty-five camels in their second year.

Ibn Mas'ud used to say that in the case of quasi-intentional murder, the blood money will be in four parts: twenty-five camels in their fifth year, twenty-five in their fourth year, twenty-five in their third year, and twenty-five camels in their second year.

Umar said regarding the killing of Shibh Amad that there should be thirty camels in their fifth year, thirty camels in their fourth year, and forty such she-camels whose age is between six and seven years, and all of them should be capable of bearing offspring.

Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that in the case of quasi-intentional murder, there are thirty-three camels of four years old, thirty-three camels of five years old, and thirty-four camels whose age is between six and seven years, and all of them should be capable of bearing offspring.

Usman and Zaid said that in the case of aggravated blood money, forty camels in their fifth year, thirty in their fourth year, and thirty in their third year of walking should be given.

Abu Musa and Mughirah bin Shu'bah used to say that in the case of aggravated blood money (diyah mughallazah), thirty camels of four years old, thirty of five years old and able to walk, and forty such she-camels whose age is between six and seven years and all of them are capable of bearing offspring, will be given.

Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit says that in the case of accidental killing resembling intentional murder (shibh-e-amd), thirty camels of four years of age, thirty camels of five years of age, and forty such she-camels whose age is between six and seven years and none of them is barren, will be given. And Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that in shibh-e-amd, thirty-three camels of four years of age, thirty-three camels of five years of age, and thirty-four such she-camels whose age is between six and seven years and none of them is barren, will be given.

Hazrat Umar, Hasan, Ibn Sirin, and Amr bin Dinar said that in the case of quasi-intentional murder (shibh-i-amd), the blood money (diyat) will be made stricter upon the killer and his relatives in the form of camels of specific ages.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that striking with a stick or throwing a large stone constitutes quasi-intentional murder (shibh-i-amd), and its blood money (diyah) will be in three parts: one third will be camels entering their fourth year, one third will be camels entering their fifth year, and one third will be camels whose age is between six and seven years, and all of them must be capable of bearing offspring.

Hazrat Ata said that in the case of quasi-intentional murder (shibh-i-amd), the aggravated blood money (diyat-e-mughallazah) will be imposed, and due to this, retribution (qisas) will not be taken.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj said that he asked Ata what is the aggravated blood money (diyat-e-mughallazah)? So he replied: forty pregnant she-camels, thirty she-camels in their fourth year, and thirty she-camels in their fifth year.

It is narrated from Hasan that in the case of aggravated blood money, forty such camels will be given whose age is between six and seven years and all are capable of bearing offspring, and thirty of four-year-old camels, and thirty of two-year-old camels will be given.

Hazrat Ata said that in the case of quasi-intentional murder (shibh-i-amd), the severity (i.e., strictness) will be in the form of the ages of the camels.
