Dislike of Adopting Certain Kunyas
Hadith 28374
٢٨٣٧٤ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين عن موسى بن عُلّي عن أبيه أن رجلًا أكتنى بأبي عيسى فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إن عيسى لا أب له" (١).
Hazrat Musa bin Ulayy narrates that his father Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man adopted the kunya (patronymic) Abu Isa, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, Isa had no father.
Hadith 28375
٢٨٣٧٥ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين عن عبد اللَّه بن عمر بن حفص عن زيد بن أسلم عن أبيه أن عمر ضرب ابنًا له اكتنى بأبي عيسى وقال: إن عيسى ليس له أب] (١) (٢).
Hazrat Aslam narrates that Hazrat Umar struck one of his sons who had adopted the kunyah Abu Isa and said: Surely, Isa had no father.
