Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Jurayy Hijimi narrates that I came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and I asked: Are you the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Yes! I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Please give me some advice. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not abuse anyone. He says: After that, I never abused anyone, neither a slave nor a free person, neither a goat nor a camel.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, the greatest sin in the sight of Allah is that a person abuses his parents. The companions asked: How can a person abuse his parents? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: He abuses another person's father, so that person, in return, abuses his father. He abuses another person's mother, so that person, in return, abuses his mother.

Hazrat Abu Najee’ reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, the worst form of usury is that a person exceeds limits in dishonoring his brother, and the greatest sin is that a person abuses his parents. It was asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! How can someone abuse his own parents? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: He abuses others, so they in return abuse his parents.

Hazrat Asim says that I have never seen Hazrat Abu Wa'il using abusive language except when mentioning Hajjaj bin Yusuf. On one occasion, he said: O Allah! Make him eat the food of a thorny tree. Neither let him become fat nor let his hunger be satisfied. Then he said: Even if you like him.
