Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever conceals the faults of his Muslim brother in this world, Allah, the Lord of Honor, will conceal his faults in the Hereafter. And whoever removes any distress from his brother among the worldly distresses, Allah, the Lord of Honor, will remove from him the hardships of the Day of Resurrection. And Allah, the Lord of Honor, is in the help of that servant who is engaged in helping his brother.

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever relieves a Muslim of any worldly distress, Allah, the Lord of Glory, will relieve him of some of the distresses of the Hereafter on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah, the Lord of Glory, will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. And whoever makes things easy for a person in difficulty, Allah, the Lord of Glory, will make things easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah is in the help of His servant as long as the servant is in the help of his brother.

Hazrat Zaid bin Wahb narrates that someone was brought to Hazrat Ibn Mas’ud and it was told to him that drops of wine were dripping from so-and-so’s beard! Upon this, Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Indeed, we have been forbidden from spying. But if a matter becomes apparent before us, then we will hold him accountable for it.

Hazrat Abu Qilabah narrates that Hazrat Abu Idris said: Allah Almighty does not expose the faults of that servant who has even a particle of goodness in his heart.

Mother of the Believers, Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah, the Lord of Majesty, does not conceal the faults of any servant in this world except that He will conceal his faults in the Hereafter.

Hazrat Abdul Wahid bin Qais narrates that Hazrat Abu Hurairah said: Whoever conceals the fault of a believer, it is as if he has given life to a girl who was buried alive.
