Saying to One’s Brother: Jazak Allahu Khayran
Hadith 28217
٢٨٢١٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن موسى بن عبيدة عن محمد بن ثابت عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إذا قال (أحدكم) (١) لأخيه: جزاك اللَّه خيرًا فقد أبلغ في الثناء" (٢).
Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any one of you says to his brother, "May Allah grant you the best reward," then he has exaggerated in praise.
Hadith 28218
٢٨٢١٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن أسامة بن زيد عن طلحة بن عبيد اللَّه بن كَريز قال: ⦗٤٧٨⦘ قال عمر: لو يعلم أحدكم ما له في قوله لأخيه: جزاك اللَّه خيرًا، لأكثر منها بعضكم لبعض (١).
Hazrat Talha bin Ubaidullah bin Kuraiz narrates that Hazrat Umar said: If any of you knew what reward there is in saying these words to his brother… May Allah grant you the best recompense… then you would say this phrase to each other more often.
