Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that Ibrahim performed circumcision at the place of Qadoom at the age of one hundred and twenty years, and then he lived for eighty years after that.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib narrates that Ibrahim was the first person who hosted a guest, and the first person who trimmed the moustache, and cut his nails, and cleaned the hair of the private parts, and the first person who performed circumcision, and the first person who saw white hair. So he said: O my Lord! What is this thing? Allah, the Lord of Honor, said: This is dignity and respect. He said: O Lord! Increase my dignity.

Hazrat Shaddad bin Aws narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Circumcision is a Sunnah for men and an honorable thing for women.

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Five things are from the natural disposition (fitrah). And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also mentioned circumcision.

Hazrat Mansur states that Hazrat Mujahid and Ibrahim, both of them, said: Circumcision is Sunnah.
