Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me should prepare his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me, then he should prepare his abode in Hell.

It is narrated similarly through another chain.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, then he should prepare his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair narrates that I asked my father, Hazrat Zubair: O dear father! I have never heard you narrate the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as I hear Ibn Mas'ud and so-and-so and so-and-so narrate. He replied: Since I embraced Islam, I have never been separated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, then he should prepare his abode in the Hellfire.

Hazrat Muslim, who is the freed slave of Hazrat Khalid bin Urfatah, narrates that Hazrat Khalid bin Urfatah mentioned Mukhtar and said that he is a liar (kadhdhab). And I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me, then he should prepare his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Abu Qatadah says: I heard the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying on this pulpit: "Refrain from narrating my hadith excessively. And whoever does narrate, he should narrate what is true or correct. Whoever attributes to me something that I did not say, then he should prepare his abode in Hell."

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever attributes a lie to me, a house will be built for him in Hell.

Hazrat Rubee’ bin Hirash narrates that I heard Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) delivering a sermon in which he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not fabricate lies against me. Indeed, whoever fabricates a lie against me will enter Hell.

Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever attributes a lie to me... the narrator says I think he also said... deliberately, then he should make his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Abu Saeed narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me should make his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever attributes to me something which I have not said, then he should make his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Marrah narrates that a companion of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us and said: Indeed, you have seen me and heard my words; soon you will be questioned about my words. Therefore, whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, he should make his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him make his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, he should make his abode in Hell. And sometimes he (the Prophet) also said: He should deliberately make his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, then he should prepare his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu’bah narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Surely, fabricating a lie against me is not like fabricating a lie against anyone else. So whoever deliberately tells a lie about me, let him prepare his abode in the Hellfire.

Hazrat Uthman bin Affan narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him prepare his abode in Hell.

Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him prepare his abode in Hell."
