One Who Gets Wet in the First Rain
Hadith 27856
٢٧٨٥٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن أم (غراب) (١) عن بنانة أن عثمان كان يتمطر في أول مطرة (٢).
Hazrat Banana states that Hazrat Usman used to bathe in the first rain.
Hadith 27857
٢٧٨٥٧ - حدثنا وكيع عن عبد اللَّه بن المؤمل عن ابن أبي مليكة أن ابن عباس كان يتمطر، [(يخرج) (١) ثيابه حتى يخرج سرجه في أول مطرة (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Abi Mulaika narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) used to bathe in the rain, take out his clothes, and even take out his saddle in the first rain.
Hadith 27858
٢٧٨٥٨ - حدثنا وكيع (عن الربيع) (١) عن يزيد بن أبان عن أنس أن النبي ﷺ كان يتمطر] (٢) في أول (مطرة) (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to bathe in the first rain.
Hadith 27859
٢٧٨٥٩ - حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن (سعد) (١) بن رزين عمن حدثه عن علي ⦗٣٧٨⦘ أنه كان إذا (رأى) (٢) المطر خلع ثيابه وجلس، ويقول: حديث عهد بالعرش (٣).
Hazrat Sa’d bin Razin narrates from one of his shaykhs that when Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) saw rain, he would take off his clothes and sit, and would say: This is the first thing from the Throne.
Hadith 27860
٢٧٨٦٠ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا جعفر بن (سليمان) (١) قال: حدثنا ثابت قال: حدثنا أنس قال: أصابنا ونحن مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ مطر، قال: فخرج رسول اللَّه ﷺ فحسر ثوبه عنه حتى أصابه، فقلنا: يا رسول اللَّه لم صنعت هذا؟ قال: " (إنه) (٢) حديث عهد بربه" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that once we were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when it started to rain. He let his blessed body get wet in the rain and said that this is a conversation from Allah the Exalted.
