One who says: If someone tells you to keep something secret, it is a trust
Hadith 27251
٢٧٢٥١ - حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عن الحكم بن عطية قال: سمعت الحسن يقول: إذا حدث الرجل الرجل بحديث وقال: اكتم علي، فهي أمانة.
Hazrat Hakam bin Atiyyah says that I heard Hasan saying: When a person tells something to another person and then says, "Keep my words secret," then this statement will be an amanah (trust).
Hadith 27252
٢٧٢٥٢ - حدثنا ابن مهدي عن سفيان عن جابر عن الشعبي مثله.
The aforementioned statement is also narrated from Imam Sha'bi with this chain of transmission.
Hadith 27253
٢٧٢٥٣ - حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: حدثنا ابن أبي ذئب عن عبد الرحمن بن ⦗٢١١⦘ عطاء عن عبد الملك بن جابر بن عتيك عن جابر بن عبد اللَّه عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إذا حدث الرجل الرجل بالحديث ثم التفت فهي أمانة" (١).
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a person tells something to another person and then looks around, it becomes a trust.
