Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Most Merciful shows mercy to those who are merciful. Show mercy to those on the earth, and the One in the heavens will show mercy to you.

Hazrat Jarir narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah does not have mercy on the one who does not have mercy on people.

Hazrat Jarir narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah does not have mercy on the one who does not have mercy on people.

This statement of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is also narrated from Hazrat Jarir through this chain of transmission.

Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Aamir narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Whoever does not show mercy to our young ones and does not recognize the rights of our elders, then he is not from among us.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah narrates that I heard Abu al-Qasim, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who is truthful and believed, and who is the resident of this chamber, saying: Mercy is not taken away except from the wretched. Hazrat Shu’bah says: I also found this narration written with me.

Hazrat Qarah narrates that a man said to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I slaughtered a goat and I felt great compassion for it," or he said, "Indeed, I had great compassion for the goat when I slaughtered it." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Surely, if you showed compassion to the goat, Allah will show compassion to you." He said this twice.

Hazrat Abu Alaa bin Abdullah bin Al-Shakheer narrates that his brother Hazrat Mutarrif bin Abdullah bin Al-Shakheer said: Surely, Allah shows mercy because of showing mercy to a bird.

Hazrat Jarir narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah does not have mercy on the one who does not have mercy on people.

Hazrat Abu Ubaidah narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Show mercy to those on the earth, and the One in the heavens will show mercy to you.

Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah narrates that his father Hazrat Urwah said: Indeed, it is written in the Torah that as you show mercy, mercy will be shown to you.

Hazrat Usama bin Zaid narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Surely, Allah shows mercy to those of His servants who are merciful.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.
