Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Amr that he saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) with a Qasrani fringed sheet on the saddle.

It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib. He says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed... or spoke ill of... every red saddle.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Umar saw a woman whose saddle had a cloth with red silk thread on it. The narrator says: So he ordered me to cut it. The narrator says: I said, "It is wood." Then he left it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Sirin that Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud requested to borrow an animal. When it was brought to him, there was a red canopy on it. He removed it and then mounted the ride.

It is narrated from Ibn Sirin that a red-canopied animal was brought to Al-Ash'ari. So he ordered, and it was removed.

It is narrated from Hazrat Rafi' bin Khadij. He says: We went out with the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Then he, peace and blessings be upon him, saw our saddles; on our camels were cloths which had threads of red wool in them. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware, I see that this redness is rising over you." So, because of his, peace and blessings be upon him, statement, we quickly stood up, to the extent that some of our camels became startled. The narrator says: So we grabbed the cloths and took them off.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (the use of) gold rings and red bedding.

It is narrated from Hazrat Yaqub bin Utbah. He says that I saw Hazrat Saib bin Akht Tamr riding on a red bedding.
