On the Position of the Lower Garment on the Waist
Hadith 26465
٢٦٤٦٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن محمد بن أبي يحيى قال: حدثني أبو العلاء قال: رأيت عليًا يأتزر فوق السرة (١).
Hazrat Abu Alaa narrates that I saw Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) tying the lower garment above the navel.
Hadith 26466
٢٦٤٦٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن قدامة بن موسى عن أبيه قال: صليت إلى جنب ابن عمر وقد (ائتزر) (١) فوق السرة، فجذبه حتى جعله أسفل منها (٢).
Hazrat Qudamah bin Musa narrates from his father. He says that I prayed next to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). I had tied my lower garment above the navel. So he pulled it until he made it below the navel.
Hadith 26467
٢٦٤٦٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن هشام عن الحسن وابن سيرين أنهما (كانا) (١) يأتزران إلى أسفل من السرة.
Hazrat Hisham narrates about Hasan and Hazrat Ibn Sirin that both of these personalities used to tie their lower garment below the navel.
