Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Muhajir. He says that the shirt and clothes of Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz used to be between the ankles and the place where the straps are tied.

Hazrat Salim narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Isbal (letting the garment hang below the ankles) occurs with the izar, shirt, and turban. Whoever drags any of these out of arrogance, Allah Almighty will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."

It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid. He says that dragging the shirt and the lower garment is the same.

It is narrated from Hazrat Shu'aib bin Yasar. He says that some people mentioned to Hazrat Ikrimah about pulling the shirt and the lower garment, so he said: By Allah! This is evil. Great evil.

It is narrated about Hazrat Tawus. The narrator says that his shirt used to be above the izar, and the sheet used to be above the shirt.

It is narrated from Hazrat Dawood bin Qais. He says that I saw Hazrat Qasim's shirt reaching to the ankles.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mughira. He says that Ibrahim's shirt used to reach the back of his feet.

It is narrated from Hazrat Muhammad bin Umair. He says that I saw Hazrat Salim's shirt raised above the ankles. And he said: I saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that his shirt was also like this.
