Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hisham narrates regarding Hazrat Ata that he considered the meat and milk of animals that eat filth to be disliked.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid that the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the meat and milk of animals that eat filth.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir. He says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade eating the meat of an animal that eats filth or drinking its milk.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Jurayj. He says that Hazrat Ata did not see any harm in performing Hajj on an animal that eats filth, and if its main fodder is not filth, then it may be eaten. But if its main fodder is filth, then he disliked it.

Hazrat Amr narrates about Hasan that he did not see any harm in eating the meat of an animal that eats filth.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ikrimah bin Khalid, he says that the meat and milk of animals that eat filth have been prohibited, and it has also been prohibited to perform Hajj or Umrah on them.

Hazrat Nafi narrates about Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he used to confine a chicken that had eaten filth for three days (before slaughtering it).

It is narrated from Hazrat Ikrimah that he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the milk of a goat that eats filth.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid, he says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the meat of a goat that eats filth.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid, he says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade (the use of) the milk of an animal that eats filth.

Hazrat Nafi narrates about Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he had a camel that used to eat filth, so he sent it to the pasture. Then, after some days, he brought it back and loaded travelers’ luggage on it and sent it towards Makkah.
