Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Muhammad. He says that there is no harm in drinking water that has been set aside for charity.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Bakr bint Maswar. She says that Hazrat Maswar would not drink from the water that was kept in the mosque and he disliked it. And his opinion was that it was charity.

It is narrated from Hasan. He says that Hazrat Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Command me regarding charity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Give water to drink.” The narrator says: So he had two water skins set up. They were still set up, and in my childhood, I used to run between the two.
