في الشرب من في السقاء
On Drinking Water Directly from the Mouth of a Waterskin
Hadith 25698
٢٥٦٩٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال. حدثنا أبو معاوية عن هشام عن الحسن عن جابر قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن الشرب من أفواه الأسقية (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir, he says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade drinking water directly from the mouth of a vessel.
Hadith 25699
٢٥٦٩٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن ابن أبي ذئب عن الزهري عن عبيد اللَّه بن عبد اللَّه بن عتبة عن أبي سعيد قال: شرب رجل من سقاء فانساب في بطنه جان فنهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن (اختناث) (١) الأسقية (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed, he says that a man drank water from the mouth of a water-skin and a snake entered his stomach, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade drinking from the mouth of vessels.
Hadith 25700
٢٥٧٠٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يونس بن محمد عن حماد بن سلمة (عن قتادة) (١) عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن الشرب من في السقاء (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking from the mouth of a water-skin (mashk).
Hadith 25701
٢٥٧٠١ - [حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن ابن أبي نجيح عن مجاهد قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن الشرب من في السقاء] (١) (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid that he says the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade drinking directly from the mouth of a water-skin.
