Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Ibn Aun, he says that the Prophet Muhammad was asked about the separate nabidh made from peeled wheat, so he said: I do not know what that is.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Mus'ab Madani, he says that I heard Hazrat Abu Hurairah saying, "We used to take wheat and open it, then we would drink it."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ikrimah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drank Fadheeh (a beverage made from opened wheat) near the Mosque of Fadheeh.

Hazrat Qatadah narrates regarding Janab Saeed bin Musayyib and Janab Hasan that they said there is no harm in opening the grain and making nabidh from it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mishhaj that he says: I heard Hazrat Anas saying this while he was instructing his servant to separate the ripe dates from the semi-ripe dates and then to make a separate nabidh (drink) from each of them.

Hazrat Khalid narrates about Janab Ikrimah that he disliked Fadheekh, even if it was pure Fadheekh.

It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib, he says that there is no harm in (eating) tadhnoob (a date with a cooked tail).
