Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Humaid narrates about Hazrat Bakr that Nabidh used to be prepared for him in bottles.

Hazrat Aban bin Sam’ah narrates about Hasan that he granted concession regarding glass vessels, that is, for nabidh.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ma'ruf bin Wasil, he says that my mother told me about a woman who was called Bint al-Aq'as. And she was the daughter-in-law of Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). That she came to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) with a green-colored jug. Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "What is this?" She replied, "We make nabidh in this jug." So Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) put his hand inside the jug and then said: "I make you swear that you must certainly drink from it, because it is just like a bottle."

It is narrated from Hazrat Hakam bin Atiyyah, he says that I have seen Muhammad drinking from bottles.

It is narrated about Hazrat Abu Barzah that he considered drinking from a glass vessel to be disliked.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mukhtar bin Fulful, he says that I asked Hazrat Anas. I asked: What is the ruling about bottles and lead? He replied: There is no harm in either of them. I said: But some people say (something) about them. Hazrat Anas replied: Leave that which puts you in doubt, and hold on to that which does not put you in doubt.

It is narrated from Habib bin Abu Amrah, he says that I brought a green pitcher to Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair. So he put his hand into it. I asked, "Can we prepare nabidh in this pitcher?" He replied, "Yes. This serves the same purpose as a bottle."

It is narrated from Hazrat Hasan bin Amr, he says that I drank three bottles of nabidh at the house of Hazrat Ibrahim.
