Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hasan and Ibn Sirin, from Hazrat Sufyan bin Husain narrate. He says that I asked both of them in Sisa about Nabidh (regarding drinking it)? So they disliked it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mukhtar, he says that I asked Hazrat Anas. I said, "What is the ruling on using bottles and lead?" He replied, "There is no harm in them." I said, "But people say something (else)." He replied, "Leave that which puts you in doubt and take that which does not put you in doubt."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Salamah. He says that when I came, people were discussing the nabidh (fermented drink) of a pitcher in the presence of Hazrat Ikrimah. So a man asked Hazrat Ikrimah about (the use of) lead. He replied: This thing is impure. Or he said: This thing produces more evil.

Hazrat Aban bin Sam'ah narrates regarding Hasan that he considered (drinking nabidh) in lead vessels to be disliked.
