Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Hammad and Ibrahim. Both of them say that there is no harm in drinking 'Aseer' (fresh juice) as long as it has not boiled. Hazrat Said says: When it starts to boil, then it becomes 'khamr' (intoxicant). And you should avoid it. And Hazrat Ibrahim says: When the 'Aseer' starts to boil, then you should leave it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibrahim. He says: When the juice begins to boil, then do not drink it.

It is narrated about Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib that he did not see any harm in drinking 'Aseer' (juice) as long as foam did not appear on it. But when foam appeared on it, then he would prohibit it. And he used to say that foam appears on khamr (intoxicating drink).

It is narrated from Hazrat Khaseef. He says that I asked Hazrat Saeed about 'Aseer (juice)? So he replied: Drink it within one day and night.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ikrimah. He says: Drink 'Aseer' as long as it has not fermented.

It is narrated from Ayman Abi Thabit, he says that I was sitting in the company of Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) when a man came to him and asked him about 'Aseer' (fresh juice)? So he replied: Drink it as long as it is fresh.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sha'bi, who says that there is no harm in drinking 'Aseer' (fresh juice) until it has boiled three times.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ata. He says: Drink 'Aseer' until it has not boiled three times.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hisham bin Aiz, he says that I asked Ibrahim about 'Aseer (juice)? So he replied: Drink it as long as there is no change in it.

It is narrated from Ibrahim. He says: There is no harm in drinking or selling it as long as it does not boil over.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aamir, Hazrat Abu Ja'far, and Hazrat Ata. (All these personalities) say: If the 'Aseer' of one day and night is there, then drink it.

It is narrated from Hasan. He says that as long as 'Aseer' does not change, you may drink 'Aseer'.

It is narrated about Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he was asked about 'Aseer (fresh grape juice)? He replied: Drink it as long as its devil does not seize it. It was asked: In how many days does its devil seize it? He replied: In three days.

Hazrat Basheer bin Aqbah says that I asked Hazrat Ibn Sireen about the juice of grapes. So he said: The juice should be of the same day and should remain in the vessel in which it was made. He said: Drink it on the same day. When this juice is transferred to another vessel, then I consider it disliked. And he also said: Use the early grapes because they are more delicious. So drink it.
