On Treating with Frog Meat
Hadith 25260
٢٥٢٦٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (يزيد) (١) بن هارون (قال) (٢): (أخبرنا) (٣) ابن أبي ذئب عن سعيد بن خالد عن سعيد بن المسيب عن عبد الرحمن ابن عثمان قال: ذكر طبيب عند النبي ﷺ دواء (يجعل) (٤) فيه الضفدع، فنهى ⦗٢١٠⦘ رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن قتل الضفدع (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Uthman, he says that a physician mentioned before the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) a medicine in which frogs were used. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing frogs.
Hadith 25261
٢٥٢٦١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: (حدثنا) (١) (شعبة عن) (٢) (زرارة) (٣) بن (٤) أوفى عن أبي الحكم (البجلي) (٥) عن عبد اللَّه بن عمرو قال: لا تقتلوا (الضفادع) (٦)، فإن (نقيقها) (٧) الذي تسمعون تسبيح (٨).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Do not kill frogs because the sound you hear from them is glorification (tasbeeh).
