On Treating with Dog Meat
Hadith 25257
٢٥٢٥٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن (أبي) (١) عدي عن داود قال سئل الشعبي عن رجل يتداوى بلحم كلب فقال: إن تداوى به فلا شفاه (اللَّه) (٢).
It is narrated from Dawood, he says that Hazrat Sha'bi was asked about a person who seeks treatment with the meat of a dog? So Hazrat Sha'bi replied: If this man seeks treatment with the meat of a dog, may Allah not grant him any cure.
Hadith 25258
٢٥٢٥٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: حدثنا إسرائيل (عن مغيرة) (١) عن أبي معشر عن إبراهيم أنه أصابته حمى ربع، فنعت له جنب ثعلب، فأبى أن يأكله.
It is narrated about Ibrahim that he developed a fever on the fourth day, and when the side of a fox was praised before him, he refused to eat it.
