Which Day Is Recommended for Cupping (Hijamah)
Hadith 25223
٢٥٢٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: أخبرنا عباد بن منصور عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس أن النبي ﷺ قال: "خير يوم (تحجمون) (١) فيه ⦗١٩٨⦘ سبع عشرة وتسع (عشرة) (٢) وإحدى وعشرين" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best days on which you should get a haircut are the seventeenth, nineteenth, and twenty-first dates."
Hadith 25224
٢٥٢٢٤ - [حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل ويزيد بن هارون عن عاصم عن ابن سيرين قال: كان يعجبه أن يحتجم من السبعة عشر إلى العشرين] (١).
It is narrated about Hazrat Ibn Sirin that he said he preferred to have his hair cut between the seventeenth and twentieth of the month.
Hadith 25225
٢٥٢٢٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن ليث عن مكحول قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من احتجم يوم الأربعاء ويوم السبت فأصابه وضح فلا يلومن إلا نفسه" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Mak'hool, he says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever gets a haircut on Wednesday or Saturday and then suffers from epilepsy, let him blame himself."
Hadith 25226
٢٥٢٢٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن حجاج قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من كان محتجمًا فليحتجم يوم السبت" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Hajjaj that he says the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever wishes to get cupping (hijama) done should get cupping done on Saturday."
