Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Alia narrates that I was sitting in the service of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when a woman came and said, "O Mother of the Believers! I have found a lost goat. What do you command me to do with it?" Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: "Announce it, feed it, and use its milk." Then, after some time, the woman came again and inquired. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "Do you want me to permit you to sell it or slaughter it?" Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "This matter (action) is not permissible for you."

Hazrat Zaid bin Jubair narrates that I was present in the company of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). A man came to him and said, "I have found a lost she-camel. Take care of it and keep inquiring about it." He further asked, "If I use its milk, will I be liable (for compensation)?" Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "I do not think that you are liable for anything regarding this."

A person asked Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib, "I have found a lost camel. Should I let it roam with my camels?" He replied, "No."

Ibrahim says, the meaning of profit from guaranteed wealth is: a person takes wealth from another as mudarabah, saying, "I am your guarantor, and half or a third of the profit is yours."
