Giving Wealth to Another as Mudarabah (Profit-Sharing Partnership)
Hadith 24770
٢٤٧٧٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن حماد قال: يكره أن ⦗٤٨⦘ (يقول) (١) المضارب لصاحبه: أنا أفضلك عشرين درهما أو ثلاثين، ولا يرى بأسا أن يقول: أفضلك بثلث أو ربع أو سدس.
Hazrat Hammad disliked that the mudarib would say to his partner: "I will take twenty or thirty dirhams from you," but if he said, "I will take a third, a quarter, or a sixth more from you," then there is no harm in it.
Hadith 24771
٢٤٧٧١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الوهاب بن عطاء عن سعيد عن قتادة عن سعيد بن المسيب وابن سيرين أنهما كانا (لا يريان) (١) بأسا أن يدفع الرجل إلى الرجل مالا مضاربة ويقول: لك منها ربح ألف درهم.
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib and Hazrat Ibn Sireen did not consider it objectionable if a person gave another wealth for mudarabah, saying that out of this, the profit of one thousand dirhams will be yours.
Hadith 24772
٢٤٧٧٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الوهاب بن عطاء عن سعيد عن قتادة عن الحسن أنه كان يكره ذلك إلا أن يجعل له ثلثا أو ربعا أو خمسًا (١).
Hasan disliked engaging in mudarabah except for one-third, one-fourth, and one-fifth.
