Exchanging Sound Dinars for Broken Dinars
Hadith 24704
٢٤٧٠٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا الضحاك بن مخلد عن أشعث قال: كان من أصل قول الحسن أنه كان لا يرى بأسا (بمنِّ) (١) من صفر صحيح بمنوين من صفر مكسور.
Hasan used to say that there is no harm if a person sells one man (weight) of pure dinar for two man of broken ones, and he was asked about selling one saqeen for two saqeens, so he did not consider there to be any harm in it.
Hadith 24706
٢٤٧٠٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن سلمة عن ابن سيرين قال: كانت الدرع تباع (بالأدرع) (١).
Ibn Sirin states that a coat of mail will be sold in exchange for several coats of mail.
