Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said that it is necessary for a father to treat his children well, and every person has the greatest right to that which he owns.

It is narrated from Ibn Aun that a person narrated from Qasim bin Muhammad: Can a person (father) use whatever he wishes from his son's wealth without permission? He replied: I do not know what this is.

Hazrat Mujahid says: Take from your son's wealth what he gives, and do not take what he does not give.

It is narrated from Hazrat Salim that Hazrat Hamza bin Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) slaughtered a camel: a beggar asked Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them)? Hazrat Abdullah said that this is not my property. Hazrat Hamza said, "Father, this is also lawful for you. You may feed whomever you wish from it."

Hazrat Zuhri says that if the father is in need, he will spend only as much as he had spent on him.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If the son is young, the father has more right to his wealth. And when the son becomes mature and separates his wealth, then the son has more right.
