Wages of Singers and Professional Mourners
Hadith 23590
٢٣٥٩٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة ووكيع عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن الشعبي أنه كره أجر المغنية.
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked the wages of a female singer, and Hazrat 'Abdah has added to this that I also consider eating from it to be disliked.

٢٣٥٩٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن عمرو عن الحسن أنه كره أجر النائحة والمغنية.
Hasan disliked the wages of singers and women who wail.

٢٣٥٩٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن أبي هاشم عن إبراهيم أنه كره أجر النائحة والمغنية والكاهن.
Ibrahim disliked the earnings of a singer, a mourner, and a soothsayer.
Hadith 23594
٢٣٥٩٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (وكيع) (١) قال: حدثنا جعفر بن عون عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عبد اللَّه بن هبيرة. . (وأكلهم السحت) قال: مهر البغي، وما كان يأخذ (الكاهن) (٢) على (كهانتهم) (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Hubairah, in the explanation of "wa akalahum us-suht," states that by this is meant the wages of a prostitute, and whatever a soothsayer earns from his soothsaying.
