How Much Wealth Makes a Mudabbar Free
Hadith 23254
٢٣٢٥٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن يحيى بن سعيد عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: المدبر من الثلث.
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a mudabbar slave will be considered freed from one-third of the wealth.
Hadith 23255
٢٣٢٥٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن هشام عن الحسن ومحمد قالا: المدبر من الثلث.
This is also narrated from Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him).
Hadith 23256
٢٣٢٥٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن إدريس عن أشعث عن الشعبي أن عليًّا كان يجعل المدبر من الثلث (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat 'Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) considered the mudabbar to be counted as freed from one third of the wealth.
Hadith 23258
٢٣٢٥٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن إدريس عن (ابن) (١) (أبجر) (٢) عن الشعبي عن شريح قال: هو من الثلث.
Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that he will be considered free from one-third of the wealth, and Hazrat Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that he will be considered free from the entire wealth.
Hadith 23260
٢٣٢٦٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (جرير) (١) عن منصور (والأعمش) (٢) ومغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: المدبر من الثلث.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The mudabbar will be freed from one third of the wealth.
Hadith 23261
٢٣٢٦١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن (خالد) (١) عن أبي قلابة أن النبي ﷺ قال: المدبر من الثلث" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Qilabah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A mudabbar will be freed from one third of the wealth.
Hadith 23262
٢٣٢٦٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن الأوزاعي عن الزهري قال: المدبر من الثلث.
Hazrat Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The mudabbar will be freed from one-third of the wealth.
Hadith 23263
٢٣٢٦٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن شريح قال: المدبر من الثلث.
The same is also narrated from Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him).
Hadith 23264
٢٣٢٦٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن (أبي) (١) الربيع عن أبي بشر عن سعيد بن جبير قال: هو من جميع المال.
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The mudabbar will be free from all wealth.
Hadith 23265
٢٣٢٦٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا شبابة عن شعبة عن حماد قال: المدبر من جميع المال.
The same is narrated from Hazrat Hammad.
Hadith 23266
٢٣٢٦٦ - [حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا [(شاذان) (١) قال: حدثنا] (٢) يحيى بن حمزة عن (العلاء) (٣) والنعمان (عن) (٤) مكحول قال: المدبر من الثلث] (٥).
Hazrat Mak'hool (may Allah have mercy on him) says: A mudabbar slave will be freed from one-third of the wealth.
Hadith 23267
٢٣٢٦٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن زكريا عن عامر قال: المدبر من الثلث.
The same is narrated from Hazrat Aamir.
