Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) disliked the sale of ten for twelve, and used to say that this is the sale of non-Arabs.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked selling ten for eleven and ten for twelve. The narrator says that I asked, "Then how should I do it?" He (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "You should say: I buy it for such and such, and I sell it for such and such."

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "This is usury."

Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about selling ten for twelve. He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: There is no harm in it.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: At first, we used to dislike it, then we saw no harm in it.

Ibrahim and Hazrat Ibn Sirin, may Allah have mercy on them, say that there is no harm in selling for ten or twelve.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that this is usury.

Hazrat Ja'd bin Zakwān (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I was present in the service of Qazi Shurayh; he declared this sale permissible.

Hazrat Masruq disliked this type of sale, and said that one should say: I have bought for such and such amount and I sell for such and such amount.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) considered this to be disliked, and Hazrat Ikrimah says that this is forbidden.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that this is usury.
