Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

The slave of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) became unable to pay the amount of his contract of manumission, so he took him back as a slave and kept with himself what he had already received from him.

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that whatever is received from it will belong to the master.

Hazrat Masrooq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we will keep it like this.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that it will be seen that the wealth which people gave as assistance for the payment of the contract of emancipation will belong to the slaves, and the wealth which he (the slave) earned himself will belong to the master.

Hazrat Masrooq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we will keep it like this.

Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that it will belong to his master. Ibrahim says that it will be given to someone like him (i.e., a mukatab).
