Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Purchase the Mushaf, but do not sell it."

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) considered the purchase of the Mushaf permissible and its sale disliked.

It is also narrated in the same way from Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Buy the copies of the Qur'an, but do not sell them."

Hazrat Hakam says that there is no harm in buying them.

The father of Hazrat Ja'far says that there is no harm in buying a Mushaf or in taking wages for writing it.

Hazrat Qatadah says: "Buy the copies of the Qur'an, but do not sell them."

Hazrat Isa bin Abi Azza says that Hazrat Sha'bi has ordered me to make a purchase.

Hazrat Yahya bin Abi Kathir says that I asked Hazrat Abu Salamah about the sale of copies of the Qur'an, so he said: Buy them, but do not sell them.
