Do Not Visit Women Whose Husbands Are Absent from the City
Hadith 18591
١٨٥٩١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (نا) (١) (حفص) (٢) بن (غياث) (٣) عن (مجالد) (٤) عن الشعبي عن جابر قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ أن (ندخل) (٥) ⦗٦٠⦘ على (المغيبات) (٦) (٧).
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade going to meet those women whose husbands are not in the city.
Hadith 18592
١٨٥٩٢ - حدثنا حفص عن ليث ومسعر عن (سعد) (١) بن إبراهيم عن حميد ابن عبد الرحمن قال: قال عمر: ألا لا يلج رجل على امرأة إلا وهي ذات محرم منه، وإن قيل (حموها) (٢)؟ (٣) (ألا إن (حموها)) (٤) (٥) الموت (٦).
Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Beware! No man should meet with a non-mahram woman, and if you ask about a brother-in-law or elder brother-in-law, then I would say that he is death.
Hadith 18593
١٨٥٩٣ - حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن عمرو عن أبي (معبد) (١) قال: سمعت ابن عباس يقول: سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: "ألا لا يخلون رجل بامرأة إلا (ومعها) (٢) ذو محرم" (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Beware! No man should be alone with a non-mahram woman, except that there is a mahram present with her.
Hadith 18594
١٨٥٩٤ - حدثنا هشيم عن أبي (الزبير) (١) عن جابر أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: ⦗٦١⦘ "ألا لا يبيتن رجل عند (امرأة) (٢) إلا أن يكون (ناكح) (٣) (أو) (٤) (ذو) (٥) محرم" (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No man should spend the night in a woman's house except that he is her husband or a mahram relative.
Hadith 18595
١٨٥٩٥ - حدثنا شبابة بن سوار قال: نا ليث بن (سعد) (١) عن (يزيد) (٢) بن أبي حبيب عن أبي الخير (عن) (٣) عقبة بن عامر أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "إياكم والدخول على النساء" فقال رجل من الأنصار: يا رسول اللَّه! إلا (الحمو) (٤)؟ (فقال) (٥): " (الحمو) (٦) الموت" (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Avoid going to women. An Ansari asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is the ruling regarding a brother-in-law or husband's elder brother? He replied: He is death.
Hadith 18596
١٨٥٩٦ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم قال: سمعت (ذكوانًا) (١) يحدث عن مولى (لعمرو) (٢) بن العاص أنه أرسله إلى علي يستأذن على أسماء ابنة عميس ⦗٦٢⦘ فأذن له، حتى إذا فرغ من حاجته (سأل) (٣) (المولى) (٤) (عمرًا) (٥) عن ذلك، فقال: إن رسول اللَّه ﷺ نهانا أن (ندخل) (٦) (على) (٧) النساء بغير إذن أزواجهن (٨).
Hazrat Zakwan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) sent one of his servants to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) to request permission from him to meet Hazrat Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her). When permission was granted, he discussed his need. The servant then asked Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) the reason for this, upon which Hazrat Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from meeting women without the permission of their husbands.
Hadith 18597
١٨٥٩٧ - حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن زياد بن (فياض) (١) عن (تميم) (٢) بن سلمة قال: قال عمرو بن العاص: نهينا أن (ندخل) (٣) على (المغيبات) (٤) إلا بإذن أزواجهن (٥).
Hazrat Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we have been forbidden from meeting women without the permission of their husbands.
