Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When an adulterer commits adultery, he is not a believer.

It is narrated similarly through another chain of transmission.

Hazrat Aban bin Uthman (may Allah have mercy on him) says that on the Day of Judgment, adulterers will be recognized by the stench of their private parts.

Hazrat Masrooq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that people fall into adultery the most because of lust; it has no scent by which it can be detected and the prescribed punishments can be enforced.

Hazrat Abu Salih (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I have received information that most of the sins of the people of Paradise are related to women.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said to his slaves that whoever among you desires chastity, we will arrange his marriage. When any of you commits adultery, Allah Almighty takes away the light of faith from him, and then if He wills, He returns it, and if He wills, He does not return it.

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that faith is a quality that prevents from sins; when a person commits adultery, faith departs from him, and when he reproaches his soul, his faith returns to him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have not seen any trial more harmful to the men of my ummah after me than women.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said that the disbelief of the people before you was because of women, and in the future too, disbelief will be because of women.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man commits adultery, he is not a believer at that time.
