Hadith 18349
١٨٣٤٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا الضحاك بن مخلد عن ابن جريج عن عطاء في قوله: ﴿وَأُحْضِرَتِ الْأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ﴾ [النساء: ١٢٨]، قال: في النفقة.
Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him), in the commentary of the verse { وَأُحْضِرَتِ الْأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ } of the Holy Qur'an, says that what is meant by it is maintenance (nafaqah).
Hadith 18350
١٨٣٥٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة عن أبي (بشر) (١) عن سعيد بن جبير قال: يصيبها من نفسه ومن ماله.
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him), in the commentary of the verse { وَأُحْضِرَتِ الْأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ } of the Holy Qur'an, states that it refers to the woman's share from the man's wealth and life.
Hadith 18351
١٨٣٥١ - حدثنا (وكيع) (١) عن سفيان عن رجل عن سعيد بن جبير قال: النفقة والأيام.
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him), in the commentary of the verse { وَأُحْضِرَتِ الْأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ } of the Holy Qur'an, says that by this is meant maintenance and the waiting period (iddah).
