Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ikrimah, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an: { فَأْتُوْھُنَّ مِنْ حَیْثُ أَمَرَکُمُ اللّٰہُ }: "Go to your wives in the manner Allah has commanded you," says that when you are told to keep away from your wives, then keep away. That is, during the state of menstruation.

Ibrahim, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an: { فَأْتُوْھُنَّ مِنْ حَیْثُ أَمَرَکُمُ اللّٰہُ }: "Go to your wives as Allah has commanded you," says that it means to have intercourse in the private parts.

Hazrat Mujahid, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an: { فَأْتُوْھُنَّ مِنْ حَیْثُ أَمَرَکُمُ اللّٰہُ }: "Go unto your wives as Allah has commanded you," says that during menstruation, keep away from them.

Hazrat Ibn Hanfiyyah, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an: { فَأْتُوْھُنَّ مِنْ حَیْثُ أَمَرَکُمُ اللّٰہُ }: "Approach your wives in the manner Allah has commanded," states that marry and have intercourse in a lawful manner.

Hazrat Mujahid, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an: { فَأْتُوْھُنَّ مِنْ حَیْثُ أَمَرَکُمُ اللّٰہُ }: "Go unto your wives as Allah has commanded you," states that during menstruation, keep away from them.

Hazrat Abu Razin, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an: { فَأْتُوْھُنَّ مِنْ حَیْثُ أَمَرَکُمُ اللّٰہُ }: "Go to your wives as Allah has commanded you," states regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an: { فَأْتُوْھُنَّ مِنْ حَیْثُ أَمَرَکُمُ اللّٰہُ }: "Go to your wives as Allah has commanded you," that have intercourse in the state of purity.
